Tutorial overview

Installation
There are two possibilities to install the two GMG apps: (1) install is as a Matlab app (requires MATLAB) or (2) install it as a standalone app. If you choose the second possibility, the MATLAB Runtime environment will be downloaded during the installation.

Data
We will be working with preprocessed data of 12 different profiles where we extracted Vp- and Vs-tomographies, Moho topographies ans seismicty from different data sources. These processed datasets can be downloaded here as a single zip file.

Do I need to do anything in advance?
You don’t need to. But if you want to, you can already try to install and use the two apps. Note that at present, not all apps are available as standalone versions for all systems. If you want to try out the Geophysical Model Generator
